Living well, ageing well. This vision reflects the community's desire to recognise that ageing affects everyone in our community.
The purpose of this strategy is to outline an age friendly approach for Napier with the overall vision of people ‘living well and aging well’. An advisory structure was established for the Strategy’s development to ensure it was well-informed by agencies, providers, and seniors living in the Napier community. These views, combined with local data and information have been key to shaping the vision and seven priority areas.
These underpin the Strategy and will guide implementation.
The strategy document is available in the following formats - E-text, Plain Text, HTML, audio and DAISY. To request an audio or DAISY file, please contact Blind Low Vision, or visit their Napier branch - 65 Thackeray Street, Napier South, Napier 4110
There's a great deal of care and aroha within the Napier community. We look out for each other - but we also have busy lives and can miss things. So we're asking people to look out for their more vulnerable neighbours. To find out more about how you can help visit - Look out for your neighbour.
We set out to build better connections between seniors and the rest of the Napier whānau. You can find more information in our Napier Connects Toolkit
