The Marewa toilets were unfortunately damaged due to a car accident last year.
In July of 2020, the Marewa toilets were damaged when a car collided with the building, causing significant damage to the female toilets. The considerable delay in construction is due to various reasons, including the insurance claim process, building consent and the engineering design for the facility's reconstruction. A building consent application has now been lodged with Council, and we hope to have the facility back up and running again soon.
The male and unisex assessable toilets' remain open to the public.
A building consent application has now been lodged with Council.
The building is being repaired as part of an insurance claim.
Construction will commence 5-7 weeks after building consent is granted.
