We provide funds - and also administer external funding - to voluntary groups and community organisations across the city.
There are a range of grants and funding options for community groups available from key funding providers such as the Napier City Council, Eastern & Central Community Trust, Department of Internal Affairs, community and public trusts and from the local pubs.
Napier City provides various types of community grants to help community-based organisations provide programmes and activities in Napier.
Community groups can apply to the Napier City Council for a Community Services Funding or a Creative Communities Grant. These grants are contestable so the success of your application would depend on the criteria, priority of the respective grant compared with the others, and the grants money available for allocation.
Every organisation and individual can now access the givUS database through their local library. All that it takes is your membership card pin number to get in. There is also very helpful support to get the funding applications right.
givUS offers access to more than 1200 resource opportunities for community, voluntary organisations and clubs.
givME offers access to more than 4000 scholarships, awards and grants for individuals.
For more information see the givUS website.
For free access to GivMe and GivUs login using your library card via the Napier Libraries website.
