Hawke's Bay Funding is a local service that lists all available funding opportunities across Hawke’s Bay. There are many funding organisations around Hawke’s Bay that support charitable organisations in their efforts to work with and strengthen our communities.

The search engine is powered by Generosity and lists available funding from local councils, community trusts, gaming trusts, national funding organisations and more.

To view more information and to find funding opportunities available across Hawke's Bay, please visit the Hawke's Bay Funding webpage here.
For organisations who are looking for funding opportunities and would like more information on applying for community services grant funding, view our workshop information here.

Community Grants

Napier City provides two community grants -The Community Services Grant, is a contestable fund, so the quality of your application is important. The Community Development grant is open all year or until the funds are spent.

  • Community Services Grant is available to not-for-profit community organisations who support and enhance the community through the services they provide Napier residents, often in their time of need. This fund supports those organisation so they can meet current and future community needs, innovate and/or continue to provide services that benefit the Napier community.
  • Community Development Grant supports initiatives that respond to a community need. Each year we provide $74,200 to community organisations, big and small, that are helping to make Napier the best city in New Zealand to live, to work, raise a family, and enjoy a safe and satisfying life.
  • Creative Communities Scheme is available for projects or events that encourage participation in arts and culture within the Napier Community.

Heritage Improvements Grant

The Heritage Improvement Fund was disestablished in mid-2017. Future funding applications are now managed by Art Deco Trust through the Robert McGregor Heritage Fund.
