Te Awa walk

National Aquarium of New Zealand to Tutaekuri River

The Aquarium of New Zealand, located on Marine Parade.Rotary Pathway
Distance: 6.0km

At the southern end of the path is the historic Waitangi Reserve, which is the site of William Colenso's mission station in Hawke's Bay, and the mouth of the Tutaekuri River, an area popular with anglers and whitebaiters.

From here, take your choice of further routes - west along the river stopbank to EIT and on to Puketapu, or south over the confluence of the Tutaekuri and Ngaruroro rivers to explore routes in the Hastings district.
