Park Island Dog Agility Track

Dog Dog Agility Track Park IslandDog owners and their canine companions will enjoy the purpose-built Dog Agility Track located off Clyde Jeffery Drive close to the Prebensen Drive end of Park Island.

The track features a selection of obstacles including hurdles, bollards, ramps and even a grooming table, all constructed from recycled plastics. It is particularly suited to dogs that are well socialised, need stimulation and have good recall off lead.  There is a permanent water station at dog height, a dispenser bag pole nearby to clean up after any dog mishaps and a seating area for onlookers.

The track can be enjoyed by a wide range of users – from local residents to organised groups and professional trainers.

Inspiration for the agility track stemmed from the Napier City Council Animal Control Team who wanted to provide dog owners with a place where they could spend time exercising and training their dogs.
