The current Ferguson Ave playground is being replaced with some exciting new features on the way.
A flying fox is one of the special features of the new look Westshore playground.
The main path through the middle of the playground, from the edge of the nearby pathway to Ferguson Ave, connects with a loop track around the wheelchair friendly, accessible area. This area includes a basket swing, in-ground trampoline and sensory play equipment.
Another shade sail will be added, over the basket swing area, to complement the two shade sails installed last year.
Seesaws, a sand pit accessible by those with limited mobility, and new seating have been incorporated into the design, following feedback from the community.
The carousel will also get a well-deserved makeover.
Landscaping and planting will take place once the main pieces of equipment have been installed.
To be completed by May 2023
