Wondered where your rates dollar goes? Roughly a third is spent on community services - our libraries, pool, the MTG, sportgrounds and reserves. A quarter is spent on Three Waters - stormwater, wastewater and drinking water - and a further 15% on roads and transportation. This infographic explains things in more detail.

Our water is split in to three categories; wastewater, water supply and stormwater. Together this makes up three waters and accounts for 25c.
Transportation includes things like; Roads, footpaths, bridges, lighting, traffic planning, management and safety, street cleaning.
Waste minimisation, cemeteries and public toilets.
Sustainable management of our resources such as; city planning, consents, licencing, parking and animal control.
