To ensure the safety of local thrill-seekers, a permit is required to construct and operate each fairground amusement device (ride). The relevant certifications must also be presented and our Environmental Health Officers will need to inspect your equipment.
If you want to put up fairground equipment you'll first need to get a permit to occupy the site. The equipment will need to be constructed and operated in such a way as to be safe to users.
A permit for each device will be required. A fee will apply and the application must be accompanied by the current certificate of registration issued by the Department of Labour.
Environmental Health Officers will need to inspect the site - post-construction - to ensure safety standards are met before you may operate.
