Update Monday 9 October 2023: Please note, our annual pigging programme has finished up for the year. Thank you for your cooperation while we completed this important work.
Our Water Mains Cleaning Programme is back up and running throughout our city suburbs. Foam swabs called pigs will be sent flying through pipes to give them a thorough clean. This work will run through to approximately the end of October, affecting all areas of Napier, including the industrial zones, except Napier Hill.
Letters will be circulated to the residents of the affected streets to notify them of when the work will be conducted in their particular neighbourhood. The work will take place after 9am between Tuesdays and Fridays.
For more information about our water mains cleaning programme see our Water Mains Cleaning page here.
