Meeanee and Murphy Road intersection safety improvement works starting Monday 15 April.

We are making safety improvements to the Meeanee/Murphy intersection in Taradale.

We’re changing the way the pedestrian crossings operate as well as adding a new one! Works have been planned for the school holidays to help minimise disruption to this busy road. We’ll begin the project on Monday 15 April and our target date for completion is Sunday 28 April, depending on the weather. The forecast looks promising but we’ll be keeping a close eye on it. While we’re carrying out this work, the traffic lights will be turned off. There will be a Stop/Go in effect during the day (Monday-Friday) and a temporary roundabout in place when the site is unattended. Work may be carried out during the weekend if it’s needed.
