Women's wellness workshop pre-Christmas treat

Published: 23 November 2016

Last Updated: 30 May 2019

If you’re interested in some top tips for stressing less, eating well and feeling better in general, it’s time to register for the Women’s Wellness Workshop at Ormlie Lodge on Friday 2 December 2016, hosted by Napier City Council.

But don’t leave it too long – registrations close on Wednesday 30 November. The workshop will be led by a trio of inspiring women - yoga coach Kate Southward, natural skincare expert Georgina Langdale and holistic nutritionist Alison Cowell.

Kate is Hawke’s Bay born and bred, and although now based in Auckland, she is looking forward to sharing insights related both to her holistic life-coaching business A Yogafied Life, and being a mum, with a home town audience in tow. Today’s culture means we’re often expected to be all things to all people, but Kate believes mums and all women need to make time to give back to themselves every day.

Poraiti based Georgina is the founder of Archeus - a natural and organic skincare and well-being business – and is planning a very hands-on session. She will explain how nature has shaped her career, and how she believes plants can help us through times of stress.

Alison knows from personal experience how much impact certain foods can have on our bodies. This Napier based nutritionist is keen to share her knowledge about how to balance hormones and relieve stress levels through diet. She will speak about what signs and signals we should not ignore, coupled with helpful advice on what foods may suit us, or be best avoided.

Cost: $20 per person (morning tea provided)
When: Friday 2 December
Time: 8am to 10.30am
Venue: Ormlie Lodge, 17 Omarunui Rd, Taradale.

To register by Wednesday 30 November, go to the Women's Wellness Workshop on our website.
