We were thrilled to celebrate the opening of the Gleeson Park playground earlier this month - just in time for the school holidays! It's been fantastic seeing tamariki having a blast climbing, jumping, balancing and swinging their way around their new neighbourhood playground.
The transformation has been guided and inspired by community feedback and the history of Mataruahou, the original Māori name for Napier Hill.
Keen to explore this play space with your whānau? Gleeson Park is located at the top of Faraday Road on Hospital Hill. There's plenty of green space, so pack a picnic and make a day of it!
