Safety improvements at Meeanee/Murphy Road intersection

Published: 24 April 2024

22.4 Meeanee Murphy Rd intersection roadworks

Changes are underway to make it safer for everyone travelling through the Meeanee/Murphy Road intersection in Taradale.

A new pedestrian crossing which is the same as the existing ones is being added, and the way the existing crossings operate will change.

The intersection is currently without traffic signals, so until they are up and running again, a stop/go will be in effect during weekdays. A temporary roundabout will be in place when the site is unattended.

Depending on the weather, all significant works on site should be finished by the time the next school term starts on Monday, 29 April.
