Dawn Service, 6am-6.45am, Napier Soundshell
This year’s commemorations also include a special rededication ceremony at 7am on Marine Parade, following the Dawn Service at the Soundshell. The ceremony will honour the return of the Napier Swimming Club WWI plaque, which has been carefully restored and reinstated between Ocean Spa and the Napier War Memorial Centre. It bears the names of 148 club members who served, including 23 who made the ultimate sacrifice. Read more here.
