Temporary road closures in place Thursday 22 February to Sunday 25 February due to NZ Triathlon Series events.

The following road closures will be in place over the following dates and times for the NZ Triathlon Series:

6am - 9pm Thursday to Sunday
Hardinge Road between Bridge Street and Stafford Street.

6am – 3pm Thursday to Sunday
Lane way to Perfume Point/Te Karaka

6am - 5pm Friday to Sunday
Hardinge Road one lane from Stafford Street to SH50/Ahuriri Bypass.

6am - 5pm Friday to Sunday
Stafford St closed from Waghorne Street to Hardinge Road.

6am - 3pm Saturday to Sunday
Nelson Quay from carpark near fishing Club to Bridge Street
Residents & Businesses will have managed entry/exit during daytime hours. Full access from 7:30pm to 7a.

12pm - 7pm Saturday
7am - 2pm Sunday
State High 50 from near point eastern gate back to the peanut roundabout roads also known as Ahuriri Bypass and Breakerwater roads.
Waghorne Street from SH50 to Kenny Avenue.
Bridge Street, Ahuriri Village closed with managed entry/exit.

  • Residence access to Ahuriri Village will be available and controlled onsite during the event.
  • VMS boards will be in place advising the public of closure date and times.
  • Please allow extra time for your journey or avoid this area during this time.
