Cruise Ship Road Closure

Temporary road closures during cruise ship season 2023/24

Road closures will be in place for Herschell Street and Emerson Street, between Tennyson and Hastings Streets due to cruise ships coming to Napier in the 2023/24 season.

Road closures will be in place for the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday 29/11/23 from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
  • Saturday 16/12/23 from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
  • Monday 15/01/24 from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
  • Friday 02/02/24 from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
  • Wednesday 14/02/24 from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
  • Friday 23/02/24 from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
  • Wednesday 6/03/2024 from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
  • Saturday 16/03/24 from 6:30am to 5:30pm.

The closure entrance at Herschell Street will be manned. The Art Deco trust run tours from out of here and will enter and exit the same way.
