Napier City Council has received a Resource Consent application from Te Awa Land Development Company Limited to establish and operate a multi-unit commercial development on Kenny Road. The proposal comprising of eight tenancies (including a café, supermarket, childcare facility, medical centre and four assorted retail units) with associated earthworks and transport infringements is being processed by Council on a limited notified basis.
Notice of the application was served on four parties.
At the end of the submission period (being 25 July 2019) a total of three submissions were received from those parties, two in opposition and one in support.

Council advise that an Independent Hearings Commissioner (Ms Janeen Kydd-Smith) will hear and determine this application.
The Hearing will be held at the Napier War Memorial and Conference Centre on 13 November 2019 and will commence at 9.00am.
The Notice of Hearing, Directions of the Commissioner and a Section 42A Report are attached. The Report also includes the application and a complete copy of the plans.
