Drinking Water Maintenance scheduled

Water Image

Napier City Council will carry out scheduled maintenance of its drinking water reticulation network on Wednesday and Thursday evenings - and into the early hours of Thursday and Friday mornings respectively (3 April to 5 April).

The maintenance will take place overnight when water usage is low.

NCC drinking water maintenance work to take place overnight on Wednesday 3 April and Thursday 4 April (finishing in the early hours of Friday 5 April).

This work could cause the flow of the water to change direction and so it's possible residents in Poraiti, Greenmeadows and Tamatea may experience discoloured water between 10pm on Wednesday and early Thursday morning. The work on Thursday night/Friday morning may result in discoloured water in Poraiti and Tamatea.

If discolouration does occur in your water supply, please run cold and/or outside taps for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the water is clear. If the problem persists, contact our Customer Service Centre immediately on (06) 835 7579.
