About the Database
If you are looking for a community, voluntary, social service or leisure group, key contact for a group, list of related groups or a community programme, then the new community database called 'CommunityINFO Database' is a great place to start!
This database is a searchable collection of contact and descriptive details about organisations/clubs in the Napier region and those who are unique to Hawke's Bay. It is a great way to find out what organisations/clubs are available and how to contact them.
The CommunityINFO Database is an ever evolving project. Currently it includes Social Services, Health, Education, Youth, Elderly, Maori, Arts, Leisure and Sports.
(NB: This database does not cover Hastings.)
Add My Group
It is very easy to add or update information in the CommunityINFO Database, just click the link below and fill in the form. If you are adding a new entry please tick the "New" box, if you are updating an entry tick the "Update" box.
Every year in April a mail out is sent to each group/club to check that the details are correct. If you want to update the details during the year you can fill in the update form with the changes.
The Napier City Council reserves the right to edit and/or not accept any details/changes received from new applicants and existing entries for the CommunityINFO Database which do not fit the following criteria:
The service must be of a social services/community-oriented nature. The service is regarded by Napier City Council as suitable to be displayed on the database. The information given must be factual in its description
The Napier City Council will endeavour to alter, replace and add information received for the database at its earliest convenience. Napier City Council takes every care when entering the details, however cannot accept any responsibility for incorrect information either received and/or entered.
