We value the mahi that non-profit organisations and community groups do for our communities. Street appeals are a big part of how they fundraise for this work. To organise one, make sure you know the rules and guidelines, before submitting your application.

Christmas CheerWe value the hard work that non-profit organisations and community groups do for our communities. Street appeals are a big part of how organisations fundraise for this work. To organise one, make sure you know the rules and guidelines, before submitting your application.

Please read this important information before submitting your application:

  • Stalls should not be obstructing any pathways or entrance-ways.
  • If asked to move along by business, police, or Napier City Council staff you must follow instructions.
  • Seek permission from owners or staff of shops that you are residing outside of.
  • Approval does not extend to the areas outside the I-SITE, The Warehouse or any of the supermarkets within Napier. Approval must be obtained from these businesses separately.
  • No Street Appeal collection is allowed in the corner of Market Street and Emerson Street.
  • Street Appeal permits are only issued to charitable organisations or non-profit organisations. Private individuals and for-profit organisations are not able to apply.
