District Plan: Further Submissions (closes 7 May 2024)

Draft District Plan

Our Draft District Plan was important in ensuring we received feedback from the community about issues that mattered to them. The Draft Plan highlighted principles of Smart Growth, quality design, environmental excellence, resilient Napier and our people, our stories.   

We undertook engagement on the District Plan direction and key outcomes with the following groups: 

  • Members of the public 
  • Mana Whenua 
  • Key external stakeholders 

Targeted stakeholder engagement was undertaken in2021 with landowners where private property may be impacted by new provisions/significant changes being proposed as part of the District Plan review. We received 100 submissions on our Draft District Plan which also informed the policy direction. We have now notified our Proposed District Plan.
