The Marewa toilets were unfortunately damaged due to a car accident last year.
The Marewa toilets were unfortunately damaged due to a car accident last year. We are pleased to confirm the toilet block repairs are due to begin late May, with expected completion by September 2021. During this time the toilet block will be fully closed, however there will be temporary toilet facilities available during this time. There are alternative public toilet facilities located nearby, these are at Marewa Park, Nelson Park, or opposite the Onekawa Shopping Center on Maadi Road.
A building consent application has now been lodged with Council.
The building is being repaired as part of an insurance claim.
Construction will commence 5-7 weeks after building consent is granted.
