After a successful period of operations, we are taking the opportunity to implement improvements (some suggested by members of the public). We also want to monitor how the eternal flame mechanism is operating.
We will be transferring the flame onto a specially blessed church candle that will be on display within the Centre for the duration of the work. It will be returned to its plinth once the works are complete. This is the same candle that the flame was transferred to the plinth on prior to opening.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time. Please feel free to continue to view the plaques while the works are taking place and ask any questions.
