Temporary road closure for SH 2 Napier Hawke's Bay Expressway Saturday 2 April 2022

SH2 Prebensen Watchman

There is a temporary road closure of SH 2 Napier Hawke's Bay Expressway, Saturday 2 April 2022, due to resurfacing works.

  • Road closure is due to NZTA and NCC resurfacing works between Watchman Road and Prebensen Drive.
  • Road closure will take place on Saturday, 2 April 2022 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with this section of road closed to traffic in both directions.  After the work is complete there will be a 50km/h temporary speed restriction in place.
  • Local detours will be in place for traffic.
  • Northbound traffic - turn right on to Prebensen Drive, turn left on to SH50 (Hyderabad Road), turn left on to Pandora Road and follow on to Meeanee Quay and right back on to SH2 and reserve for Southbound traffic.
  • Expect delays as you approach the work site.
  • Please allow extra time for your journey or avoid this area during this time.
  • Note these works are weather dependant.
