Temporary road closure of Browning Street and Cathedral Lane on Friday 3 February due to Earthquake Memorial Service

Earthquake Memorial road closure Friday 3 February

Friday 3 February, 11am-2:30pm

There is a temporary road closure of Browning Street and Cathedral Lane scheduled for Friday 3 February, 11am-2:30pm, due to Napier's Earthquake Memorial Service.

  • There will be a full road closure of Browning Street from Hastings Street/Shakespeare Road to Cathedral Lane (one lane only from Hastings Street/Shakespeare Road).
  • There will be a full road closure of Cathedral Lane just past car park to Browning Street.
  • There will be no on street parking available within any of the above noted road closure areas. 
  • A one way drop off system will be in place for guests with limited mobility. Access to the drop off will be via Tennyson Street.
  • Details for residents’ and business access will be advised by mail.
