Temporary road closure SH51 between Marine Parade and Chambers Street Westbound between Tuesday 25 October to Saturday 29 October, due to safety improvements.

SH51 road closure notice

Tuesday 25 October - Saturday 29 October, 7am-5:30pm (weather permitting)

  • Due to safety improvement works, SH51 will be closed between the intersections of Marine Parade and Chambers Street to westbound traffic from Tuesday 25 October 2022 to Saturday 29 October 2022 between 7am to 5:30pm daily.
  • Local detours will be in place for traffic - westbound traffic, turn right on to Marine Parade, left on to Warren Street, left on to Latham Street and right back on to SH51.
  • Delays are expected along this route.
  • VMS boards will be in place advising the public of closure date and times.
  • Please allow extra time for your journey or avoid this area during this time.
  • Please note that SH51 eastbound remains open during these works and these works are weather dependent so may be postponed or extended at short notice.
