The ParkMate NZ app can be downloaded for free from the App StoreGoogle Play and Windows Store.

For more information on how to set up the ParkMate NZ app, visit the ParkMate website here.

Using ParkMate

  • Make sure you enter your car registration accurately.
  • Make sure you enter the correct parking zone or car park. Look for the signs on the meters to confirm which street parking zone or off-street car park you are in, i.e. NCC8 - Tiffen East, Napier, or use the map available.
  • Select the START button to start your parking and STOP to stop you've finished.
  • ParkMate charges a flat-rate transaction fee of 30 cents on top of the parking charge.

The app is integrated with Napier City Council’s parking system. When our parking officers enter your vehicle’s registration number into their tablet, your paid parking details show up on their screen. You still must not exceed the time limits specified in the parking location.

If it has been longer than 15 minutes and your session is still active contact support@parkmate.co.nz or phone 09 375 5056.  The vehicle rego cannot be changed on a session that has expired or been stopped.
