Are you ready to challenge yourself, your friends and family for a chance to win some fabulous prizes?

Entries for the fifth annual i-SPY Fun Challenge are open now. For people of all ages, the challenge, which takes place on the Sunday of Queen’s Birthday Weekend, takes you on a journey through Napier’s inner city and along Marine Parade following intriguing and fun-filled clues.

Beginning at the Soundshell, Napier, at 11am on Sunday 3 June, teams that complete the challenge within the two-hour time limit also go in the draw to win an ultimate (local) family experience worth more than $2500.

The i-SPY Fun Challenge is organized by the Napier i-SITE. It’s a great way to connect with people – locals - who otherwise may not realise what i-SITE staff do, says Jane Libby, Napier i-SITE Manager. “We do our best to help everybody, not just visitors from outside Hawke’s Bay or even the country, but people within our own community. We can help locals discover things they don’t know about the Bay, or explore other regions, we can advise and book travel, accommodation and activities for them. We know where to find the hidden gems that make a holiday memorable.”

She also encourages people to hit the Par2 MiniGolf park on 3 June, as it will have half price entry all day.

Teams can choose between two challenges; the Up & Down challenge, which as the name suggests, includes steps, ramps and hill work, and the Town & Around course, which follows a flat route and is suitable for small children and people of all fitness levels.

The event started from Napier City Council’s desire to highlight the profile of the Napier i-SITE, so locals understood that they, too, are always welcome there as visitors.

Registrations for teams of between two and four people is free, and those who register before Monday 21 May go into a draw to win an early-bird prize pack worth $500. You can register at www.napiernz.com, www.facebook.com/napierisite or in person any time at the Napier i-SITE, Marine Parade, Napier.

Anyone who chooses to can make a donation, in lieu of an entry fee, of $5 per team, with the proceeds going to Save The Kiwi Hawke’s Bay.

Registrations close 12 noon, Saturday 2 June. There will be no registrations on the day.
