Napier Civil Defence Siren Test Update
Napier Civil Defence Emergency Management successfully conducted its bi-annual public alert test on Sunday, 25 September at 11.50am.
The majority of the city's sirens worked to full capacity, although one of the 17 sirens did not activate due to atmospheric conditions.
People who were in Napier at the time are asked to complete an online survey on whether they heard the sirens. This can be done via the Napier City Council website www.napier.govt.nz (keyword #alert). Participants will be entered into a prize draw to win a great prize.
