In just three years My Food Bag, one of the latest entrepreneurial start-ups in which Theresa Gattung is involved, has grown in turnover to $100 million.

Well-known for her leadership roles, international business experience, marketing and branding expertise, Theresa is Napier City Council’s next Business Breakfast speaker on Friday 1 July at the MTG Century Theatre, Napier.

Theresa co-founded My Food Bag with Cecilia Robinson and Nadia Lim. The food delivery company was born out of the idea that healthy and delicious food could be convenient and exciting. The goal of My Food Bag is to bring inspiring, nutritionally-balanced tasty recipes and the best of New Zealand and Australian seasonal produce together and deliver it to the customer. It is now servicing most major New Zealand cities as well as greater Sydney and Melbourne.

Theresa takes an active role in the management, marketing and direction of My Food Bag, and during the breakfast will share the vision and challenges faced by the team.

“It is always a pleasure to come to Napier -  a true foodie destination, and I had no hesitation in accepting the invite when Napier City Council asked me,” Theresa says.

Other companies and organisations Theresa has been involved with at a high level include AIA Australia (Life Insurance), Telco Technology Services Limited (TTS), Wool Partners International, and Chair of Co.Of Women.

She is also involved with several not-for-profit and philanthropic interests. She is co-founder and trustee of the Eva Doucas Charitable Trust and the World Women Charitable Trust, Patron of the Cambodia Charitable Trust and Chair of the Wellington Board of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

Theresa’s autobiography Bird on a Wire has been a bestseller, and she has been named in Fortune magazine's list of the 50 most powerful women in international business several times since 2002. She was also included in Forbes’ list of the world’s 50 most powerful women across any sphere in 2006.

Last year she was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business and philanthropy, and in August of last year she was inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame at the 2015 TVNZ Marketing Awards.
