Forget feijoas, it’s consultation season! Consultations give the community a chance to let elected representatives know their views on a particular issue or decision. We’re currently reviewing our Local Alcohol Policy (LAP), which includes things like alcohol trading hours, bottle store location rules and safety requirements for licensed premises.
As well as the LAP consultation, there are a fair number of other consultations coming up over March, April and May. These include the Annual Plan 2025/26, the Ahuriri Regional Park Masterplan, the Waste Management and Minimisation Plan and Bylaw Review, as well as Local Water Done Well and our options for delivering water services in the future.
As these topics come up for consultation, we will put all the information on our sayitnapier.nz website. We are also running an Open House community info evening so you can find out more and ask us questions. It’s on Tuesday 15 April from 5:30pm to 8pm at the Napier War Memorial Centre, everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you there.
