Emergencies can happen at any time, and being prepared can make all the difference. For older adults, having a plan in place and knowing what to do in an emergency is especially important.
Napier City Council, in collaboration with HB Civil Defence Emergency Management Group and Age Concern Napier, is hosting a series of free emergency preparedness sessions designed specifically for those aged 60 and over. These sessions will provide practical advice on how to stay safe and connected during emergencies, with guidance from emergency management experts and local emergency services.
Attendees will also receive a free grab bag to help start their emergency kit, along with an opportunity to ask questions and discuss preparedness in a supportive setting. Refreshments will be provided.
To reserve a place, please contact 06 835 7579 or email communityservices@napier.govt.nz.
Transport is also available upon request.
