Temporary Road Closure Notice – 20–23 February 2025 – Ahuriri & Surrounding Areas

World Cup Triathlon

Please be advised of the following temporary road closures in Ahuriri and surrounding areas:

  • Thursday, 20 February (6am) – Sunday, 23 February (5pm)

    • Hardinge Road between the Boardwalk Café area and Stafford Street.
  • Friday, 21 February (5pm) – Sunday, 23 February (5pm)

    • Boardwalk Café carpark closed.
    • Hardinge Road between Bridge Street and Macaulay Street, including side streets to Waghorne Street.
    • Perfume Point access closed.
  • Saturday, 22 February (5pm) – Sunday, 23 February (5pm)

    • Seaward side of Hardinge Road closed.
  • Sunday, 23 February (6.30am – 3pm)

    • Barry Street at the intersection of Nelson Quay.
    • SH50 & Bridge Street intersection to Coote Road.
    • Ahuriri Peanut Roundabout.
    • Nelson Quay one-way only from Bridge Street to Harbour View Motel entrance.
    • Bridge Street between Waghorne Street & Nelson Quay.
    • Waghorne Street & SH50 intersection.
    • Battery Road & SH50 intersection.
    • Hornsey Road & SH50 intersection.
    • Coote Road & Marine Parade intersection.

Resident Access: Controlled access to Ahuriri Village will be available throughout the event.

Traffic Management: VMS boards will display closure details. Please allow extra time for your journey or avoid the area if possible.
