Ocean Spa now has a residents rate, making it easy for Hawke’s Bay locals to access the facility whether it’s for recreation and relaxation, or for fitness.
Putting the residents rate in place has meant finding a balance between operating a commercial facility and ensuring locals have use of the complex as a community hub. Ocean Spa is a premium visitor destination but as much as Napier needs more of its facilities to take care of themselves financially, we also want to ensure we are providing quality recreation and leisure opportunities for our own residents.
Places like pools play a vital role in a community as social hubs, where the community can connect and interact. They help ensure community has a range of options for fitness and wellness activities. There are now lots of ways users can tailor their experience including Gym-Only or Swim-Only memberships, as well as short-stay visitors passes for business or leisure travellers.
