Anderson Park will welcome hundreds of whānau to celebrate Napier history with a family-focused fun day.
Whānau Fest 150 takes place in the Park, centred around the Playground, on Saturday 30 November from 10am to 3pm.
Napier Mayor Kirsten Wise says the event is a great way to enjoy a day of connection and community.
“Anderson Park is a central hub and gathering place for families, especially those with young kids, so it’s the perfect place to get together and celebrate,” says Mayor Wise. “Bring your whānau and friends and enjoy a fun-filled day featuring a diverse array of food trucks and performances, activities and entertainment. There’ll be something for everyone, and everyone’s invited!”
The community stage will showcase dance groups, cultural performances, and live music. There will also be a range of free activities, such as hungerball, face painting, and temporary tā moko, competitions, spot prizes, and special appearances by the Taylor Hawks basketball players.
