Napier wants to hear young people’s views on what can make the City an even better place to live, learn and grow.
The Napier Youth Strategy Review is now open for feedback through sayitnapier.nz. The survey closes at the end of the month.
Mayor Kirsten Wise believes it’s important the voice of young people is included in planning for Napier’s future and sees the survey as a great way to gather their opinions.
“We want the views and voice of young people and the survey is one way to do that. Our team will also be out and about at events and doing pop-ups so young people can have a chat and share their ideas face-to-face,” explains Mayor Wise. “Youth opinions matter not just for the work we’re doing now but also for future planning, it’s their future city really, we’re just looking after it!”
The information gathered through the consultation will help Council develop a new Youth Strategy.
