Our City Services team has been busy giving three of Napier’s drinking water reservoirs a thorough clean, inside and out. The Halliwell, Tironui, and Franklin reservoirs were fully drained before our crews got stuck in. Water supply was uninterrupted during the entire process. The team conducted a detailed inspection of both the interior and exterior pipework and fittings. Waterblasting tackled any sediment build-up. It took a couple of days to complete maintenance on each of the three reservoirs, part of our city’s network of twelve. These reservoirs play a crucial role in delivering safe, clean water from the aquifer straight to your tap!
