Anderson Park has new accessible equipment, ready for play!

The wheelchair-accessible trampoline and swing are part of exciting new developments taking place at the Park. We’re extending the playground, improving family-friendly facilities and opening up opportunities for different types of entertainment.

Two new BBQ areas have been added, along with more tables for picnics and socialising. We are taking out the old toilet block, leaving a space that will be turned into an area for food vendors or food trucks to park up. Expect more seating, and shade sails to enable people to be sun smart on long summer days.

We have also been working proactively on community safety. Anderson Park now has one of the most advanced CCTV installations for a playground in the country. There are now seven high-tech cameras strategically placed around the playground and basketball court. 

The new CCTV pole – bright yellow so it cannot be missed – also features a PA speaker. This means important messages can be broadcast across the area, or an audible security alarm can be activated if needed. We will have more news soon on other exciting additions, and events!
