The storerooms beneath the Tom Parker fountain area have some deterioration that needs to be addressed immediately. As a precautionary measure, the area has been fenced off this evening, Tuesday 18 June, and the fountain has been turned off. This closure will remain in effect until further notice.
Council staff will conduct a thorough inspection of the fountain area tomorrow (Wednesday 19 June) to assess the extent of the deterioration and decide the best course of action to ensure the safety and integrity of the structure. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time.
