We are literally watching the grass grow at McLean Park! The first green shoots of the grass sown during routine maintenance of hybrid turf are above ground now.
The Magpies will be the first to play on the rejuvenated surface on Saturday 27 July when they’re challenged for the Ranfurly Shield. This work gives us the opportunity to schedule more exciting events at McLean Park, following on from the successful staging of the Tom Jones and Six60 concerts, Nitro Circus and Super Rugby matches. Might we see the Hurricanes run out on to the pitch again soon? Watch this space!
