There are a series of road closures in place on Friday 4 November and Saturday 5 November due to the IronMᾱori Triathlon Quarter, Half and Associated Events.
The following road closures will be in place:
Friday 4 November 2022 5:00 a.m. – Saturday 5 November 2022 8:00 p.m. |
Perfume Point Access Road and Hot Chick Car Parks |
Perfume Point Access Road and Hot Chick Car Parks. These areas will be closed to all traffic. |
Saturday 5 November 2022 3:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Marine Parade |
Full road closure of Marine Parade from Browning Street to Vautier Street. The Marine Parade Parking Precinct (north lane) will be able to be accessed from Vautier Street and exit at Albion Street to allow vehicles from the parking precinct to exit these areas. |

Hardinge Road Breakwater Road/SH50 Marine Parade Warren Street roundabout |
One way lane closures seaward side only of Hardinge Road from Bridge Street to Breakwater Road/SH50 and Marine Parade from Vautier Street to Ellison Street/SH51, including the Warren Street roundabout.
Access to the Freedom Camping and Pump Track will be from the south and vehicles will be able to turn right when free. |
Saturday 5 November 2022 3:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

SH51 |
Full road closure of SH51 from Ellison Street to Waitangi Road.
This is a new initiative we have adopted this year to provide a safer cycle route along the highway. Traffic will be detoured along Waitangi Road and Te Awa Avenue. There will also be speed restrictions and traffic controls in place at the Waitangi and Ngaruroro Bridges. |
