The Napier City Council kicked off the first phase of its public consultation for its Long Term Plan today (10 December) with a multi-pronged approach aimed at gathering as many ideas from the public as possible.
There are several options to share ideas about facilities and services people think are important to residents and the Napier community, and anything else people want to share about how Napier should develop over the next 10 years.
A special page has been set up on the Council website for people to express their ideas, add a comment to the Council’s facebook page, or fill in a freepost talk to us postcard, available from the main Council reception and facilities from later this week.
Any feedback will be used to help inform the first draft of the Council’s 2015-2025 Long Term Plan Consultation Document, which is due to be completed in late January.
The formal consultation period will be held over a four week period in April and May, after which submissions will be considered at hearings. The Council will adopt its 2015-2025 Long Term Plan in early June.
