Par 2 Mini Golf is offering free entry for one child when accompanied by one paying adult.

Free entry for one child with a paying adult will be on offer at two Napier City Council visitor attractions this Children’s Day, Sunday 6 March.

The National Aquarium of New Zealand, Par2 MiniGolf, Taradale Library and the Napier Aquatic Centre and MTG Hawke’s Bay are all celebrating the day.

At the National Aquarium of New Zealand, kids receive a free lucky dip gift with their general admission entry. Or they can watch the Facebook live keeper talk and divers feeding the residents of the Pania Reef tank.  There will also be activities posted on their Facebook page.

Napier Libraries will be posting online activities on their Facebook page and MTG Hawke’s Bay will have free activities in their drop-in zone.

Entry to all facilities will require a vaccine pass for people aged over 12 years and three months.

Many countries recognise Children’s Day and it has been celebrated in New Zealand since 2000. It is an opportunity for families and communities to support and nurture children, with organisations nationwide hosting activities and events designed to bring families together.

“It’s important that children see that they are valued members of society. Children’s Day is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend time together. We offer low cost or free activities at our Council facilities to help encourage this and the online activities are a great way to keep the kids occupied while families are isolating with Covid,” says Napier Mayor Kirsten Wise.
