Water restrictions for both Napier and Hastings will lift on Friday 26th March. Water restrictions began in November for Napier and in December for Hastings. Residents are now free to use their sprinklers and hoses without restrictions.
Thank you to everyone who complied with the restrictions over the summer. It helped to ensure that Hawke’s Bay maintained an adequate supply of water during the hot weather without Councils needing to impose a total sprinkler and hose ban.
Every small action to conserve water makes a difference. Despite the restrictions now being lifted, both Councils ask the community to continue to use water sensibly.
