New Chief Executive for Napier City Council begins

Dr Stephanie Rotarangi

Dr Stephanie Rotarangi begins her tenure at Napier City Council from today.

Dr Rotarangi had previously been heading up the State of Victoria Covid-19 response over the past few months of their recent resurgence. In her role as Deputy Commissioner, Emergency Management Victoria, Steph has coordinated the efforts across multiple Victorian and Federal government operations in their efforts to contain the Covid-19 outbreak.

“Given the complexities of moving countries in this current environment, I am pleased that we could get Steph on board with us so quickly after making her appointment,” says Napier Mayor Kirsten Wise.

Steph will spend her first few days at an extraordinary Council meeting for the public submission hearings from the Revenue & Financing consultation which took place last year.
