NZTA and NCC Temporary Road Closure - State Highway 2 Southbound

Line Marking Works - State Highway 2 Southbound - Watchman Road to Prebensen Drive

Thursday, 6 August 2020 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • Due to line marking works, State Highway 2 will be closed between Watchman Road and Prebensen Drive to Southbound traffic only on Thursday, 6 August 2020.
  • A detour will be in place. Please follow the detour and allow extra time for your journey.

Detour route:

  • Southbound traffic will be detoured down Meeanee Quay, Pandora Road, right into SH50 Hyderabad Road and then right onto SH50 Prebensen Drive, rejoining the Expressway at the Prebensen Drive roundabout.
  • All vehicles on route specific permits, including HPMV's and other permit holding vehicles, travelling on SH2 Expressway, will be allowed to drive on the closed section. Traffic controllers will allow these vehicles access to the closed section of the Expressway.
