Emergency temporary speed limit change reminder

Waiohiki Road from just past bridge (HDC boundary – approximately 37 Waiohiki Road) to Gloucester Street/Springfield Road  intersection and Gloucester Street from Springfield Road/Waiohiki Road intersection to existing 50km/h speed limit zone (approximately 501 Gloucester Street outside EIT - Eastern Institute of Technology)

Speed limit reduced from 70km/h and 55km/h to 50km/h to manage speeds on sections of Waiohiki Road and Gloucester Street within Napier City. Napier City Council as the road controlling authority has identified there is a risk of danger to people on these roads due to increased traffic to the Transfer station and an increased crash risk in the area.
