The Manager Communications and Marketing oversees the team responsible for Napier City Council’s internal and external communications, media relations, marketing and events.

Team responsibilities include generating news stories, writing and distributing press releases, responding to media enquiries, maintaining and driving social media engagement and producing Council publications.

The Communications and Marketing team also oversees the Council’s event strategy, and its branding and marketing for Council itself and Council Visitor Experiences such as the National Aquarium of New Zealand and MTG Hawke's Bay.
