Napier City Council is making changes to its services in line with advice from the Ministry of Health, to contain the spread of COVID-19.

|Building consents||Reduced services||Building consents will continue including invoicing and issuing consents once they have been paid. There will be no inspections carried out until further notice.|
|Burials and cemeteries||Reduced services||
Burials will be permitted as per normal operating hours, however the only persons permitted to be in attendance will be the Funeral Directors and Napier city Council Cemetery Staff. Cemetery staff will be available to act as pall bearers .
Cemetery Gates will be locked and will be only opened to allow access for the Funeral Director.
The afterhours booking service will still be operating between the normal hours of 10.00am to 5.00pm Saturday/Sunday and public holidays.
Bookings for Ash Interments have been cancelled and will not be permitted until further notice.

|Waste Services||Kerbside rubbish, recycling will continue.||Although we will collect your recycling as we normally do, please note the following changes.
We will continue to collect and recycle your glass bottles, cardboard and paper.
Your plastic and tins will continue to be collected, but they will not be recycled.

If you have any library items, please hold onto them and do not return them to the library until we re-open. All book returns slots will be closed during this time.
You will not accrue any late fines on library items that you are holding or requests you have not picked up.
