When the world went to war, swing music went to war too. Jazz music provided comfort for the families at home as well as the soldiers abroad. Many musicians were drafted into the military and they took their music with them.
Amid the chaos of war, the music would have brought some sanity to those dark, dark days. Join us as we salute the contributions of jazz and swing to the war effort featuring the music of Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, The Andrew Sisters and many more.
